Govt to set up Centre for Good Governance
PATNA: Bihar government has decided to set up Centre for Good Governance (CGG) as a part of its Bihar Administrative Reforms Programme to strengthen the administrative machinery for its smooth functioning. CGG would function under the general administration department (GAD) as a registered body.
State chief secretary would be the chairman of CGG while development commissioner would to be the vice-chairman. MD of Bihar Institute of Public Administration (Bipard), principal secretaries of finance and GAD, representative of a reputed academic institute and chairman or director of an academic institute (government nominee) would be the other members, while MD, CGG, would be the member-secretary.
